Don’t panic, we’re here to help. Before you bring your device in, make note of any messages that you see and follow these steps: 

• Don’t click anything – If you see a message that tells you download something, “click here to fix”, delete viruses, etc: don’t! Messages like these are designed to scare you into clicking and giving the virus greater access to your computer.

• Disconnect from the Internet – Unplug the internet cable or turn off your device’s WiFi connection. This will prevent your device from spreading the virus to other devices over your network. And, without an internet connection, your computer can’t be accessed remotely by 3rd parties trying to steal your information.

• Turn off your device – Turning off your device will stop malware from spreading and doing more damage until we can asses the scope of the infection.

• Call us – We’ll guide you on what to do next and schedule a service right away. Our help desk is available weekdays from 8:00AM – 5:00PM CST. We’ll work with you to schedule a time to drop off your device. We treat your device with the same care we would our own.
